Riley Endorsed by Northeast Travis County Democrats
In a unanimous decision, members of the Northeast Travis County Democrats voted on Tuesday night to endorse Chris Riley for Austin City Council Place 1. The group, which does not always choose to endorse, decided to participate in this year’s close municipal campaigns to ensure that their concerns were recognized by the candidates.
“My six years on the Planning Commission allowed me to learn first-hand about the issues impacting specific areas of our city,” stated Riley. “I’m confident that I will be ready to address their concerns immediately as a member of our City Council.”
Riley has now won the support of a majority of Democratic clubs, demonstrating the growing base of support for his campaign across Austin.
