Austin Apartment Association Picks Riley
Chris Riley picked up the endorsement of the Austin Apartment Association last week, demonstrating the broadening support for his campaign amongst economic organizations across Austin.
In a statement released to the campaign, the AAA stated “We feel that [Riley] will be an extremely effective and responsible public servant and are pleased to extend our endorsement of [his] candidacy.”
Riley has first-hand experience dealing with affordable rental housing. His home, which he restored to its 1890’s historical character and completed the first four-star residential remodel in the city’s green building program, includes three rental units. One of the units is priced below market-rate to increase the local supply of affordable housing.
Austin Apartment Association members have also committed volunteer time and resources to help support Riley’s campaign.
