Chris Riley Endorsed by Austin Economic Groups
Chris Riley was endorsed this week by two groups focused on helping Austin’s economic recovery: the Small Business Group of Central Texas, and the Austin Board of Realtors. The Small Business Group stated their preference for Riley because he “showed a willingness to work with Austin’s small business community to encourage local economic vitality and a more efficient city government.” Riley also has the support of many individual small business owners across the community, many of whom are attending a Small Business Happy Hour with Chris Riley on Tuesday, March 31.
The Austin Board of Realtors works with individual real estate agents to help them provide the highest level of service available, while also overseeing a strict Code of Ethics to which licensed realtors must abide. The group stated that their endorsement of Riley was founded on his “experience in local government, comprehension of private property rights,” and awareness of issues facing realtors in Central Texas. Chris Riley is focused on protecting and promoting affordable housing in Austin, and looking for creative solutions to increase our supply of affordable residences across the city. “I’m excited to have the support of both organizations,” stated Riley. “This demonstrates that my platform of repairing the economy and environment, improving transportation, and preserving Austin’s character is continuing to resonate across Austin’s diverse community.”
